Bairstow – Evening Eclectic host
Fridays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Scottie Bairstow joined the Evening Eclectic program in October 2010. A native of Hanford, Calif., he lives in Fresno. The first record Scottie ever bought was the 1992 deluxe cassette version of “What Hits!?” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His first musical love is college rock from the ’90s, especially early releases from the indie labels Sub Pop and Matador. His favorite artists include Nirvana, Modest Mouse, and Death Cab for Cutie.
Scott works as a sales rep for Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. and he moonlights as a stagehand at local shows, working as a roadie for the likes of Weezer, Metallica, and the Eagles. He earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Fresno State and is a former video journalist for KMPH Channel 26.
